Everyone thinks their way is the right way.
It boils down to do you want to be understood, speaking where I live.
Some would rather hang onto their local dialect, than have people actually understand what they are saying. Understandable for tourists. Not so understandable for immigrants.

I'm getting really tired of this weather.
I'm considering moving to someplace where it doesn't rain as often; like the Olympic Peninsula, or Florida.
Worst weather ever. We've had maybe three enjoyable days all spring. This is the time of year for sitting no the deck and firing up the barbecue. I'm still eating winter food.

Two lanes of the westbound JB bridge were opened Friday.
I looked for this pic the other day, ran across it today.
Grab shot through my work truck's windshield, late 1980's, on slide film using a Super Program.
The pic doesn't do justice to the way the sunbeam was shining directly down on top of the twin span. BACON!

Looks like aliens were trying to burn it with an early diesel powered laser beam.

Three enjoyable days?!
I wish we'd had that many.

I like the times when they are closed too. Especially the dreams.

Dreams are like a psychedelic trip, without the drugs.

I dream some weird dreams. Sometimes the same dream, only from different perspectives, or the same dream, as a series, like a TV show.

Some dreams involve real life and real people, and some are complete fantasy.

And they are mine.

All mine.

No K-3 involved.

Or needed.

You're a very lucky man, Bob, but I'm sure you knew that.

Hows that leg coming along? Should we be swapping horror stories?

Actually, it's doing better than I would have expected.

Lidia's is a fascinating story. She came to the US as a refugee in WWII. Her first coking experiences were as a young girl, in the US, discovering and preparing boxed cake mixes.
With that spelling do you mean her first acts of cooking were focused on making stuff that was food go black.
