Well, not that I care about hockey, football (any of it's flavours), or even basketball, but a Canadain team just won the basketball championship, and the Stanley cups winning Blues are mostly Canadian players. Yeah. Now all we need is a decent F1 driver.

Busy day today, work this morning and some of the afternoon, meet with the kitchen design lady later this afternoon, the Ikea-hell for curtains, later tonight install curtains and the (drum roll) pick up the new toy Saturday morning!!! Yay!

Have a great day all.

I know, but you would have to be Uri Geller a liar to claim that you use "mental power" to do it.

You forgot the one game to rule them all, Charlie. Curling.

Not fun, not fun, not fun, fun.

One out of four isn't too bad when the one is big enough, eh

A little all fun music to get your Friday started, or for some, ending.

Two of our children, their spouses, and our grandson are coming for bbq today to celebrate Mrs Bob's birthday (it's tomorrow) and Father's Day.
It will be a triple celebration, today would have been my mom and dad's 80th anniversary.

Handegg work too.

Having played almost every sport out there, except for Golf, Rugby or Cricket I doubt anyone who has't experienced a good hit in American football has any idea what the impacts are like.

I used to play rugby in high school in England (late 60's) and I concur that "American football IS for sissies"!

Rugby payers take hits just as hard as those shown in the video without all the namby pamby helmets, body armour and thigh pads! The only protection a rugby player gets is a jockstrap and gum shield and maybe a set of shin guards. If he is a 'forward' he may even get a bit of sticky tape to wrap around his head to stop his ears being ripped off!

Rugby is a game for real men and long may it be that way! If there isn't blood or bits of teeth on the field at the end of the game it hasn't been a good match!

Since no ball is involved, how about "no balls"?
They use a ball.

Very much like the Rugby ball, only more pointy on the ends, which is weird, because we think of balls as being round, not oval or elliptical.

That's right.

Rugby players eat their dead.
