Yeah. Now all we need is a decent F1 driver.
Well you have had two.

And his son Jacques.

A little all fun music to get your Friday started, or for some, ending.

Fun, Fun, Fun - The Beach Boys - YouTube
I've always like the Beach Boys.

But one guy told me once that they sound like a bunch of coyotes in heat.

American football is 60 minutes of play and a halftime break wich, 30 years ago, was about 20 minutes.
Today that 60 minutes of play plus halftime takes 3 and a half (minimum) to more than 4 hours to play. Essentially, if the ball isn't in motion the clock isn't running so there's time for a few commercials.
Football has become slower and more boring than baseball.
I've seen golf rounds that were more exciting.
French soccer is worse ... low scoring, sometimes all D and no O ... and the worst is there can be sometimes a tie at the end. No winner. No loser. So why watch?

Football, there's OT and in baseball, extra innings. There was a MLB record set recently for extras ... , n'est-ce pas ?!

Having played almost every sport out there, except for Golf, Rugby or Cricket I doubt anyone who has't experienced a good hit in American football has any idea what the impacts are like.
I played center in junior high football and contact was every snap for me. No exceptions. I would have continued except that I broke my foot late one summer in a motorcycle accident, so I was "out" for the following fall season. My mom wouldn't have it. She was right here.

After that I kind of lost the taste of getting crap beat out of me in practices and especially in games. I will never forget that nose guard that outweighed me by at least a hundred pounds. I had to undercut him each snap or get my ass whooped. That was a long game for me.

Just for fun, here are a couple of images from the mini expo at today's and yesterday's blood drive in Poitiers. My photo club, Les Photons' and another nearby club were solicited to decorated the blood drive.

All of our club's images are mine, except one, and they were all B&W "street" type scenes of Poitiers. Some film printed on film paper, some film images printed at my local B&M shop and some digital B&W K-1 images. I framed them using thrift store frames that I have bought off and on ... plus some are in more modern frames. It was a good learning experience and I had some good feedback which is always appreciated.

That is very cool John. You are quite active in your community, eh?

What do you mean by film paper?

Oh, and since it was a blood drive, I assume you donate. If so, how much have you donated so far?

I started donating in my twenties, and have passed the 3 gallon mark.

I guess you didn't watch the American football hits.
But on a side note, almost everyone is teaching Rugby style tackling now in the U.S. Safer less chance of injury. Less chance of missing tackle. I know y'all can't see it but there's a clear difference.

I don’t see the American football players punching the guy two or three times in the face after a tackle.

Guess the rugby dudes want to make sure the guy stays down, eh?
