I'm rethinking my grousing about pics of your stitched up feet, they're tame compared to your graphic description.

And for some odd reason, the post surgery pain was nothing compared to the pain of those injections.

I agree, everyone's experience of pain is different... I'm no hero, though...

I think every injection (and any other procedure) is unique. Last year, I had a steroid injection into my right elbow joint that I was dreading based on the previous experience (which really hurt ), and because the inflammation was quite bad and that whole area was pretty tender. But this time, I realy didn't feel a thing except for the initial puncture (and that barely registered). But even on the more painful occasions, I haven't minded too much because the procedures were very brief... Under a minute from insertion to withdrawal. I'm OK with even quite high levels of pain, but only in quick bursts.

The worst one I had was several years ago, into my left hip... once the (big) needle was in there, the consultant moved it around in a circular motion to grind up whatever was there. It was painful, but more than that, it was the weirdest sensation, and that's what disagreed with me. I felt like I was passing out during that (though I didn't). Fast forward to today, and that hip has been improving steadily since then. It's way better than before. Stiff and achy on a morning, but rarely painful. I can even sleep on my left side now, and I couldn't do that a year ago...

Now Bob. You've brought back some memories for me. Here, cornflakes are sold under the Skippy brand, and Kellogs. But, for some reason, since a very young age, I've always called them Post Toasties. But, I have forgotten that it's actually a brand name.

I can only think that, when I was young, Post Toasties was sold in South Africa. To this day, I call all cornflakes "Post Toasties". Go figure.

Thanks, Mark But I'm actually doing quite well right now... I'm hesitant to draw any conclusions, but I think the combination of meds and injections is slowly improving things, not just slowing down the progression.

I'll have to wait until I see the surgeon on the 11th of next month. They'll send him the scans.

They wanted to shoot that stuff into my left hip. I'm glad I never endured the discomfort of the injections, as I doubt stirring a needle around in there would have corrected this:
