Your own cubicle, even? I'd take that over the "landscape" I'm in any day. Stuff more people into a smaller area to save a few bucks in rent. Reduce efficiency by 1/3rd. Pure genious.

But yeah, telework is a good thing. Mostly. I will do that more often, too, now that I have a more suitable office at home.

Nah, why should it matter where you are? If you're sick you're sick.

I called in sick a few times when I wasn't, thought everyone did that on occasion.

They are migrating to that open concept here as well, thank goodness I am escaping before it actually happens.

I was lucky in that I spent the last 17 years of my working career in field service. Cluttered home office, or driving a vehicle or at a customer doing various and sundry things from install to PM's to repairs to removals. Much better than being in the office with all the politics etc.

Driving was a lot of fun. Been run off the interstate by a person who wanted to pass the semi he was following as soon as he got onto the main highway. I got drowsy once and almost ran into the rear of a semi. My personal favorite was the person backing up in the passing lane of I90 during a blizzard to "help" a stranded motorist.

I have more stories and I am sure Racer has tons more than me. Summers are the worst as there are a lot of vacationers on the highways who do not have a clue as to how to drive on them. On top of that about half have put their brains on vacation too.

Coming soon to a store near you.
I'm thinking about serving several cans of this instead of turkey for Thanksgiving.
Maybe one can per person?

I spent almost all of my 17 years with the USGS doing telework two or three days each week. It made things a lot easier with a schedule full of conference calls, both for me and my office mates. The group I worked with was scattered across all 50 states, and I used speaker phones as much as possible. No headsets that worked worth a carp most of that time. Open offices and cubicles just plain suck for programmers! Thanks be to ${DEITY} I had good bosses at the local level where I was a mere tenant taking up space, and they still gave me good standing in the competition for actual offices with doors...

Now, that is cool! (Can I say cool? Or is it too 1980ies?)

I would think it might not be a good idea to eat them, though. Knowing how you throw most things on the grill, I mean.
I was wondering why it wasn't sitting on a toadstool, smoking a hooka, and chatting with a young girl.

Oh come on Jim.

You know you want it.

Go ahead, threat yourself to one. It is awesome.

Once you go full frame, you'll never go back.

Trust me.

I will never need a K3.

Your topographical maps are great, we used them often back in my surveying days.
