I'd put money on the whole thing being staged.
Two cameras set up, same house? I don't buy it.

Look at where the houses are. Busy streets, lots of foot traffic made up of people of questionable integrity, and neighbors who all have their blinds closed.

Theft of packages has become a big problem, in urban areas. Plenty of busy people going about their day in their won little bubble, paying little attention to what is going on around them. Plenty of losers with little else to do but go about and target places like this. They think there is cash to be made selling stuff stolen from the porches of the urban dwellers.

Many shippers require a signature anymore, so buyers can't make false claims of undelivered merchandise, or to insulate them from legitimate claims for stolen items.

I still say BS on this one. I'm not saying packages don't get stolen.

I think the glitter bomb MkII should have a hundred or so paintball gun pellets. Firing in all directions, with the foul stench spray infused in each paintball gun ball. I'd love to see that.

Do we have another Canuckian defector?
Chuck hasn't posted since Racer's birthday on the 29th.

I spent three weeks trying to think of a way to make camping appeal to you guys. This is the best I could come up with.

All the comforts of home.

In retrospect, I probably should have an image of some campfire cooked bacon, which is much better than any other kind of bacon, or the pancakes cooked in bacon fat.

The daily ration, that bottle has to last 3-4 days.

An idea borrowed from the history of the British navy and the daily rum ration.

However on canoe trips it has spawned the thought that I might be the alcohol Nazi.

People who want to drink the whole thing early in a trip, have no idea of the whining and crying I'm going to have to put up with later in the trip if I don't ration.

As trip leader you have to make the tough choices.

The amount portioned out is the minimum to keep border line alcoholics from going into withdrawal.

Tess, who isn't as strict as I am, has had clients trying to flag down passing motorboats, begging them to go to town and bring the back something from the wine store.

A number of thoughts.

I know when camping one needs to consider the weight and bulk of everything that is taken along, and of course having to pack out all that isn't consumed, including empty food and beverage containers. Still, I would have taken a fith, ratehr than a pint.

I always measure with my eye, and am an experienced dispenser of spirits. The measuring spoon has mass and weight, and can be left at home. Makes room for more liquor.

Anyone who wants more than the daily ration can always pack along their own bottle. And hey, that means more for everyone, eh?

And any whiners can go home. What? They don't have a boat or a guide to go home early? Tough. Lewis and Clark got through it.
