Yes, the Tesla is impressive in it's acceleration.

But.

That is bracket racing.

You pick the time you want to run, the "dial in", and then you want to run a close to that as you can without "breaking out" (going a faster ET than your dial in). The kid with the Tesla was running 7 second dial in, and in the first round broke out. He "bough back in" and went back to it, and made it to the 4th round of eliminations before cutting a red light (he left before the light turned green).

You'll notice the piston engine cars will modulate the throttle as they run down the track, so it isn't a true comparison of acceleration between the Tesla and them.

Now if it was heads up mash the loud pedal and see who runs faster, the Tesla the kid has in this video might not fare so well. If he had the other model of Tesla (the bigger one) he could surely give those piston engine boys run.
Aha, so that's how it works. Thanks for that bit of education.

I'm not sure if Model X has better acceleration than Model S, but you may well be right. Still, I doubt any of them can compete with the gas guzzlers when it comes to top speed nor in 100-150 mph acceleration. 0-40, though, they are hard to beat.

You're a pretty cool guy, Racer............for a modulator.

Everybody sing along, now:

Bobby the brown-nosed post whore

And if you ever saw him
you would even say it stinks

Umm, yeah, but the original doesn't rhyme, either

Even better, throw out most of the batteries. No need for range in that game. You just have to keep enough to deliver the amps you need for the motors for a few seconds. (Which may be all of them for all I know...)

Seems parts of Spain have seen some rain. But not mainly in the plain.
That’s like cyclists who when they see a big crash in a race all join in so none of them get ahead.

Did your wife get hurt so she couldn't do the dishes? If so I'm glad she is okay now.
