But really, it depends on what you are interested in, as well as time of year, how much time you will spend, how long a flight you are willing to suffer, and, of course, how much $$$ you are willing to part with.

I'll be happy to sum up some of my experiences if you like. I never tire of safari talk
Well Africa is a pretty big place, so your summation will be quite large too, eh?

Aww, I knew you would thrilled, Bob. You should come over and I'll show you all the pictures. A couple of 8 hour sessions should get us through!

Sure, would love to hear your take on Africa!
Careful what you say, Charlie

Luckily I haven't been to all of it. A quick count got me to 15 countries (out of, what, 53?), 15 visits, and a combined stay of 15 months. That row of 15s will be broken next week.

But yeah, I might struggle a bit to keep it short...

Ratty?

That’s called patina Charlie.

I even wash and wax it.

Wait.

You’re leaving the picturesque Fords of Norway now, before the snow even begins to fall?

I thought you traveled to Africa to escape what you perceive as bad weather, i.e. snow?

You let goats graze in some interesting places.

Yep. Ideally I'd like to go later but the area we're doing the walking safari in is closing in November due to the rainy season. Besides, we have to go when we all get time off from work.

Last year we went in January. Perfect timing for me. That is, the perfect timing would be October to April, but I still have a job to do to convince my employer

Our son took Bobby for a ride today. The Bobster fell asleep in his chariot before the 2 mile trip was over.

A tow headed boy getting towed by a bike.

What could be better?

I'm wearing blue jeans and a flannel shirt, not sure what my son wore on the ride, but damn sure it wasn't lycra, he's a manly man, like me.
