Hot for this time of year.

Today was the first day I had to use the scraper on the car. About 1C, according to Volkswagen measurements.

Some of us would prefer 38mm rather than 38C at the moment.

Rainfall;
so far this October 6.8mm
against Oct average 50.1mm
but along way ahead of 2006; 0.2mm

Average annual rainfall to October 525mm
This year 303mm

We have broad-acre farming and over the hill viticulture and both require rainfall but not at the same time.
Always a talking point

Don't forget IBIS.
We saw some Hadeda Ibis this morning. They didn't shake at all.

I always bring some extra underwear in my handluggage. Airlines can't be trusted, not even with my toothbrush.

Oh, and it's nice and warm here, maxed out at 44C (that's about 1152F for you guys over there). Drove through a hailstorm that dropped the temperature to 22C in about two minutes, but luckily rose back up as soon as we were through.

Shh! Do you hear that? Yep. That's a beer calling my name.

See ya!

Wow, that is hot! I think it should be 111.2 deg F. Hope you are having fun anyway.

Just way too polite for their own good, this is IMOO. Coming from a Finn.
If they were any more polite, they'd be Canadian!

You'll be relieved to hear that we got our luggage today. Yes, I'm sure you are

Starting our journey north tomorrow, along Blyde River Canyon to Phalaborwa, then on to the top of the Kruger right on the border to Zimbabwe and Mozambique. There we'll spend a few days in the bush walking. Really looking forward to that

Pictures? Well, maybe. But only if we see painted dogs. Of the African kind, without psychedelic colours.

An exception for Bob, of course. He will get to see them all no matter what.

You're welcome.
Just watched the Grand Tour from Mozambique...wow...beautiful place

It was a productive weekend. We have a kitchen floor! Appliances must wait 48 hours before they can be moved back in.... *sigh* ...and then bacon can be fried up once again!!

Looking good Charlie

Is the darker floor so it is easier to find the crumbs ?
Or is there just too much light in your neck of the woods..
Oh yes and bacon
