Sometimes it's the simplest, most unlikely things that bring pleasure...

I just got back from my grocery shopping at Aldi... There were only a dozen cars in the car park, and the supermarket aisles were as quiet as can be... Managed to do a BIG shop - enough to last me and my folks a couple of weeks; fresh and deli meats, dairy, cheeses, eggs, fresh vegetables and fruit, cereals, bread, chocolate, wine, toiletries... and a couple of boxes of additional food for "Jones", my neighbour's cat I zipped round in no time at all, didn't have to queue behind anyone at the checkout, had a nice chat with the cute checkout girl while I packed, and spent just GBP £122 (USD $157).

I love it when shopping trips are this easy

It's 11 F (-11.66 C) this morning with a cover of snow. A record low for the date.
No need to vacation in Norway this year.

No... two bottles of this delicious Uco Valley Malbec:

Exquisite Argentinian Malbec - ALDI UK

... and a couple of this rather tasty, slightly lighter French Malbec Syrah blend:

Vignobles Roussellet Malbec Syrah - ALDI UK

Ridiculously cheap for what I personally think is pretty decent quality... They're both far better than they have any right to be at these prices...

I like pinot noir, if I am gonna drink wine.

But no matter what it is, no matter how good, or bad, it will always be Winking Owl shoe polish.

Thank you Rupert!

Even though you might have been blinded by the distractions, those weren’t cars, those were Mopars.
