Yes, in this thread.

We have our standards to uphold.

Well I still have 85 correction, 81, after this post, more posts to go to get a 2nd ticket so I haven't much of an ordeal I would think. Plus it's in this thread.
A reminder of my thoughts from a month ago:

But I get weary of these contests, and the meaningless and unrelated, off topic posts that proliferate this fine thread.

They cheapen it.

And as I said, this thread isn’t the place for contest announcements, speculation and updates.

From here on any posts that are fluff clearly made to inflate post counts are getting deleted.

If people want to inflate their post count to increase their chances in the raffle, they can always post some pictures, share their latest acquisition, or discuss post processing techniques in the appropriate discussion forums.

We have more meaningful stuff to discuss here, like, “Why we won’t buy a K-3”, and of course Pearls Before Swine.

Who cares?

Posting about that stuff here distracts us from the real important stuff, like someone’s birthday, or saving Tokyo from the livE hociR.

So enough with contest drivel, OK?

OK, here we go.
Bacon is good but so is grilled Alaskan wild sockeye, on Finnish ruisleipä.

Not me.

I never drop bacon, as it is too precious to waste by dropping on the floor.

Which reminds me.

Mrs. Racer 2.0 made waffles this morning. With chopped apple, chopped walnuts, and chopped bacon in them.

They were quite good with butter and maple syrup.

Canadian maple syrup, not that weak stuff from Vermont.

I used to like the New England stuff, proving to be very costly as far as the alimony goes...

It's inane to complain about the rain in the plain in Spain; one should refrain, there's no gain. Oh, the pain, it's all insane.

I think it would be nice to go spend the winter in Norway.

Went out ski touring today, in the shade all day long, with wind and -20°c. All in all, ------- cold.
Oh, you can have cold here, too, if that's what you want

Welcome back, Bertwert - very glad you survived having Mother Nature remind you of the power of moving water... Having had a reminder like that myself, on a much warmer and milder river in Nebraska, I can attest to the sort of stuff going thru your head when you just cannot move against the flow... It’s a very humbling experience. Almost enough to become a Norwegian!
Sounds unpleasant! Although, I'm not sure acquired humility is acceptable around here. You would never be considered more than a wannabe

Alright, I'm packing my skis and running away to Norway.
Don't forget to pack your newfound humulity. But yes, it's all about skiing here - cross country, telemark, randonée, pick your poison.

All this contest talk. If I want to infalte my post count I prefer to do it by posting in other threads - you know, trying to participate in the goings on, helping those who ask questions, post images(!)... It's not really that hard, even for someone as insanely humble as myself.
