73 years ago today a 10 pound baby was born.
Not sure if he saw his shadow.

Used to be one in the north end of Seattle that was mounted on a little bitty Nash Rambler. Us kids loved it, since we were Dr Demento fans and all.

I've shared the bagpipe version several times, but are you ready for the baby version of Thunderstruck?

Oh, and I fell down the YouTube Rabbit Hole again this morning.

Motorcycle Engine in a Car - Here's Why and How - YouTube

I wanna do something like this.

Maybe in a VW Beetle body.
Not something I'm into at all, but I found this really entertaining

Saw part two, too.

And Jay Leno's test drive.

Now, this messed up my work plan for the day... Oh well

Putting hot motorbike engines in lightweight vehicles is quite "popular" over here - especially in Lotus 7-type sports cars - and I've seen pics in magazines like Practical Performance Car (AKA putting "unusual" motors in anything old, cheap, and "customisable"), and I think I've also them in small cars like Minis, and there are track series for some of those as well.

Thanks guys for the birthday wishes.
It hit a record high of 70 F, this morning it's 39 F with snow and ice in the forecast.
What a difference a day can make.

And there's this sort of thing: Reliant Kitten (small fibreglass-bodied "peoples' " car, originally with 848cc OHV motor) + Kawasaki ZZR1100 bike engine and a "few other" mods: Reliant 1976 KITTEN BIKE ENGINE KAWASAKI ZZR1100. car for sale

Saw something that, but even more "extreme", in a recent issue of PPC!

PS: neither of them have a reverse gear - but the cars are still so light that it would be easy to "get out and push" when required!

There is a reversing gearbox available that installs inline with the driveshaft. The guy in the video I posted is using one.

Yeah, there were a bunch of very unusual little blips in the background... I thought I saw the Mach 5 at one point, even...

EDIT UPDATE - it is indeed the Mach 5, at 0:46s in the clip. You have to watch at the one-fourth speed playback to see it very well though...

I'm sure there is - but it probably costs more than that car sold for !
