I really like that they don't try to speak "good" English. I've just seen it in Norwegian, though. They recorded every scene twice, first in Norwegian, then in heavily accented NorwEnglish. Here's some quite gentle clips.

I think they're actually better at conveying the culture of the time than more "serious" films and series are.

They're releasing "Season 0" now, a prequel. I also heard one of the actors mentioning in passing what will happen in the next season - "umm, I mean, if there is a next season..."

Well the phone is certainly competing with the K-3, eh?
For a cheap Android phone it does not do too badly. But I miss my camera!

Oh?

Is it on holiday?

Why aren't you there with it?
It's gone on an excursion to Ricoh. I posted about it here: K-1II hotshoe mount broken - PentaxForums.com
Still no response as to cost to repair or timeframe.

Nah, they have relocated since then, out of the city (which is now once again in the city). The ambulance chasers are still stuck in buildings from the 1850ies, but the rest are housed on a campus built up from the 1930ies onwards (and still being expanded).

The only people you will find studying Greek and Latin here will be a handful of linguist students. And what little the quacks need for their elitist lingo.

Actually, most of the Uni curriculum is in English these days, especially for the natural sciences. Studying History I read quite a bit in Norwegian, Danish, and Swedish as well, but everything going on outside of Scandinavia was in English. CS and Maths, all English. It's quite interesting how much this has changed from before WWII when German and French literature made up the bulk of the curriculum.
I did all my study in English because it is the only language I know. I learned more grammar while studying ancient Greek than I learned at school. It is hard work to read Greek, I need the books. And my French from school has really faded.

Bummer Mark.

The hotshoe on my K-1 only serves one purpose, as a place to store my Pentax 100 Year Anniversary cover.

I've heard of it and it looks as if it could be quite good. But, I don't do this whole Netflix thing.

Let's hope Mark can keep his young man figure now that the chip butty has arrived in NZ.

No flash was mounted when it got the ding. I only noticed it when I lovingly ran my fingers over it while shooting cycling and thought: "Daang, this does not feel right!?!?!"

The chip butty has been here for as long as I remember. BK is late to the party.

Note from the department of useless information:

In South Africa we have a half a loaf of bread, hollowed out, which, if filled with curry mince, is called a "Bunny Chow". If filled with chips it's called a "Viskop" (Which means Fish's head - which makes no sense at all)
A Viskop is a poor man's Bunny Chow. I like both.
