More people from the flight our son and d-i-l were on have tested positive for the pretend-beer virus now. And the d-i-l is having flu symptoms. Her test result should be ready tomorrow. Yay.

Don't get too close.

And wash your hands often.

An interesting thing with the last round of swine (or was it bird?) flu is that fewer people than normal got sick from normal flu that season - because they washed their hand more often. And then they stopped doing so. Until now. Do people enjoy being sick? Or is spending 10 seconds washing your hands every now and then such a chore that it's better to lie flat for a week?

Oh well, it's just one more thing I'll never understand.

Reason enough not to buy a K-3, I guess.

The word isn’t out yet in the community at large but the Prep School community knows. The real danger to that family is potential loss of clients and then lawsuits in general.

Good morning all. Warm and foggy in The Deep. It's been great maple syrup weather and will continue to be with plus temps during the day and the mercury diving down into the negatives at night.

Aaaaand she's got it. The doc stopped by today and said she'll be hospitalised if she gets any worse. Junior is symptom free but is banned from getting close to anyone.

I knew it would come sooner or later, but it went rather more quickly than I'd expected. A consultant/colleague/friend I sent some work related questions to on Friday informed me this morning he's out with the virus too. Probably picked up in Southern/Central Europe, too.

Be sure to give her a lick or two so you can get the virus quickly and get it over and done with.

Please remind me, who was that apparently very healthy (so cycling, maybe?) freak who ate a lot of hamburgers - and then died of a sudden heart attack relatively early ?????
