But... why?

Right.

Phobia.
noun: phobia; plural noun: phobias
an extreme or irrational fear of or aversion to something.

The dictionary says you're extreme and irrational, Mark
My wife agrees with the dictionary.

And French.

Is there a holiday for Scottish/French people?
We're all Irish on St. Paddy's Day

I've always told my Irish friends, that when some jerk makes me very mad, that if I was Irish, I'd spit green.

But I'm Scottish so I spit plaid, eh?

Aye.

And for the French in me I suppose there is Bastille Day, eh?

I don't particular like how they're styled. But I like the idea of an everyday denim/duck canvas hard wearing kilt.
This one is 100% cotton, and has enough pockets for 20 bottles of beer.

But at $330 I may have to pass.

Then there is the leather Utilikilt.

$770.

I'll need to work a few weekends of overtime for this one.

You'll also need to shave your legs.

Um, no.

Besides, my legs aren't very hairy.

The style just looks wrong. Too 'tacticool'.

Ach, no!

Hairy legs are part of wearing a kilt.

I dunno. I much prefer to see smooth legs when I see a skirt.

They're on this list of Top 50 Edible Insects List (ignoring the fact that spider aren't insects, of course).

QuoteQuote:
Another spider for good measure. Huntsman spiders (Sparassidae gen.) are composed of over a thousand species and are found everywhere there’s a temperate of tropical climate. These spiders can reach up to 12 inches in leg span and don’t build webs, but instead chase down their prey at speed, hence the name. Indonesians and Venezuelans call them food (amongst other names, I’m sure).
Then again, it seems the huntman's favourite food is cockroaches. It would be stupid to eat one's pest control, wouldn't it.

They look like crabs.

I eat crabs. Dungeness, Snow, Alaska King, Blue, all very tasty. Although I haven’t lately, it was a favorite activity for me to go to a local pier and drop a few traps in the water and catch a dozen or so (the Puget Sound is loaded with Dungeness), take them home and boil them up.

A crab feed!

Mmmmm . . . . . tasty!
