Wrong thread, but relevant.

An old man was wondering if his wife had a hearing problem. So one night, he stood behind her while she was sitting in her lounge chair.

He spoke softly to her, "Honey, can you hear me?" There was no response.

He moved a little closer and said again, "Honey, can you hear me?" Still, there was no response.

Finally he moved right behind her and said, "Honey, can you hear me?"

She replied, "For the third time, Yes!"

Hey Racer! If you can get this built in the big shed, do you think that we can get Bertwert to test it? Pulse jet engine bicycle with manual backup system. What possibly could go wrong?

I've never understood the liking for whisky of any variety. A friend bought me a "good" single malt to celebrate the end of his degree exams and it put me off the stuff for life. I had another taste recently and it only confirmed that lifelong aversion to the stuff. As far as I go it's all paintstripper, however much others might like it. Blechhhh!
Send me the rest; I'll be sure and take care of it for you.

George Eastman was an avid cyclist. He took several cycling vacations where he would cover hundreds of miles of roads. He always brought bicycles without brakes as he thought that brakes were too dangerous.

I like scotch. There are those, however, who drink it because it's trendy or they think they should like it. It's easy to tell a true scotch drinker from a wannabe; give them a dram of one of the Islay malts such as Lagavulin, Ardbeg(my favorite), Laphroaig, etc., and watch their reaction.
I do like all of the above but my fav is Lagavulin. Ever had Octomor 09.1? Best Scotch I have ever tasted

If one puts a wee bit of water in there single malt, the experience is more enjoyable. Big fan of Irish coffee here. Even more enjoyable.

You might consider what your sentence would become if you you moved the word "wee" two words to the right, immediately after "of".

Just think, the power of a typo!

Just saw in the news that someone who worked at The Big Shed has passed away from the Corona Virus. Odd how I find such things out on the news, rather than from the company information system.

I’d be happy to, except the post refuses to handle paint stripper.

I'm pretty sure all salt on the earth was once in a sea.
Perhaps Jim RoxnDox can clear this up so I can sleep at night.
Yup, pretty much. You can go back to sleep now, Jim Parallax

Reminds me of a discussion famed racing/fast luxury car manufacturer Ettore Bugatti had with one of his customers. Bugatti's were one of the last cars to go from simple cable actuated brakes to hydraulic systems and some Bugatti's only had rear brakes, rather than 4 wheel brakes as many other cars had, even back in the '20's and '30's.

According to legend when one of his customers complained about the poor brakes Mr. Buggatti was reported to have replied, "I make my cars to go, not to stop."
