EDIT: Just to clarify; if it has more meat than fat it aint bacon. It's just pork.

Dude, I appreciate your thoughts for my wellbeing, but we wash our hands before dishing out the bacon. Ain’t gonna waste three minutes letting good bacon get cold.

In these difficult times we make do with what we can get. I’d like my favourite coffee too, but it ain’t available either.

But... won't the fat go all jelly when you boil it?

These days you have to wash your hands before and after washing your hands

Not if you just take it to al dente.

I have done a lot of things to earn a living. 14 years in the military, milked cows, grown mushrooms commercially, police officer, owned a bike shop for just shy of 20 years.....
First and foremost though, I consider myself a printer by trade. As a printer one of the first things you learn is to wash your hands BEFORE using the bathroom, as well as after.

Well, yes, you don't want lead poisoning down there, do you.

Funny thing about different kinds of bacon...are what they're called in different countries. I like the type of bacon that we Canucks call back bacon.

But our neighbours to the south in the U.S.A. ...call, what Canadians call back bacon, ...'Canadian bacon'.

Both are misnomers. As I said, if it's more meat than fat, it isn't bacon.

Modern printing, (post 70s) rarely involves lead.
Ink, though harmless, and solvents are problematic however.

And then there is the question of what to call French fried potato chips. Back in the '50's and before, French fries were invariably known as chips in Canada. No doubt due to the significant percent of Brits and those who have British background in Canada. But then by the end of the '60's the more common terms.... fries or French fries ...started to dominate.
Now I would say the term ...fries...has won out.

Always interesting to me to see how language...words.... change...and the reasons why....over a brief time (50-50 years) in history. Our world is always evolving .
