I still buy the occasional CD and it's usually music from the mid '60's, early '70's a golden era in music for my generation...and some might say the golden era in music...period.
Just joking...of course.
The last concert we went to featured a well known singer of international repute, who got his start in the '60's and his performance/voice....50+ years later... was ...let's say...well past his best before date. I'm still thinking about how much equipment/ music we could of bought with the $ 400 CAD we spent on good tickets.
After I bought a CD...the best of ? ?...which was recorded when he could hold a tune and that's how I prefer to listen to his song styling's.

In my province we have perhaps the largest numbers of people with Icelandic background outside of Iceland. Many Icelanders immigrated here in the 1870's/'80's and they have done very well .
