Looks like F1 is returning to the Nurburgring later this year as part of the much-changed 2020 season.

I was there to watch a day of DTM racing about ten years ago.

In the days when my youngest son was car-mad.

Yeah, finish the race or crash and burn. The crash and burn option really isn’t one I’d like to return to, there were some real horrors and drivers seldom walked away dusting their overalls.

Well, death is still off my list of things I wanna do, so If I try this it will be done very carefully. Just hoping to get an inch or so change rearward.

The bike frame is good for me(26’ Trek), just still trying to tweak it so I can get the best upright riding position with minimum weight on my hands.

Thanks guys. And Mmmmmm bacon...
I thought you had a recumbent bike?

Thanks, I’ll check those out.

Yup. Along with four other mountain and hybrid bikes... The one I have been tweaking is our son’s old bike from college. Frame fits best, and it has a handlebar stem that lets you adjust the angle. So no purchases needed except new tires (most of the rubber was gone from the side walls, just nylon cordage left...)

Y'know....that looks reaal goood ! Surprises me, because it also looks healthy.

As a guy who spent far too much time in my earlier years, thinking Cheezies and beer were two separate food groups......I have to say that food in the pix is appealing.

I've said it before, I'll say it again; as I grow older there are 3 things happening to me. First, I'm forgetting things. Errr ... jus' a minute ... um,

There are 5 basic food groups:

Sugar
Salt
Alcohol
Caffeine
Cheeseburgers

Well, I can see I was only right in one, with beer , which comes under the food group of alcohol .

I think where I went wrong with Cheezies is that I was thinking they're a food group, but really when I think about it more, they probably fall under the category of a dessert.

I should clarify something.
I know the first thought that came to the minds of some was "But what about bacon?????"
Bacon is a sub-group of cheeseburger as it's simply implied that a proper one includes bacon.

There, fixed.

No, wait.

You left out a couple.

Beer.*

Scotch*

An occasional Cuban, I prefer Cohiba.

There, I think that just about covers it.

>>>edit<<<

*Sorry, I scanned your post and missed the food group major heading Alcohol. Still, the two subgroups are important parts of the major group. One goes well with a Cohiba, the other pairs perfectly with a bacon cheeseburger.

I'm no chemist, but Mrs. P, who is a chemist assures me that those are covered under "alcohol".

Cheeseburgers qualify as a major food group and they can be broken down into multiple subgroups: Meat, dairy (cheese), grain (the bun), fruit (Botanically, a tomato is a fruit; however the United States Supreme Court ruled that a tomato is a vegetable for the purposes of the customs regulations.), and vegetable *(pickles, lettuce, onions, {a lot of onions required!}).

The conclusion here is quite obvious. A cheeseburger, preceded by a beer and followed by a doughnut and a cup of coffee, is the perfect "balanced diet" meal.

* "Two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun."
Go ahead. Just try and get that song out of your head!
