I tried to find Rupert's meme of Jesus winking, pointing, and holding a box of Velveeta.
Couldn't find it, but found this quote by him in 2015. It should be The Thread's motto:

"The best thing about bacon...it never "tastes just like chicken".

There is nothing quite like the taste of beef from Western Canadian or Western USA beef, is there. My mother made Yorkshire pudding once for a family friend who was from Nottinghamshire. It tasted fine, but 'collapsed' in the oven. We never could figure out why, but I understand this can happen.
Cooking successful Yorkshire pudding seems to be a bit of a black art. I have never tried to cook them myself but Ms CharLac v2.0 used to try and try and always ended up with the collapsed variety.

T.G., I never liked ANYTHING like Hot Dogs and "Squeeze Cheeze" at ANY time in my life
I do like a good Frankfurter, BBQed to perfection, and then cut up and cooked in baked beans or pea soup. So good. Oh, and spider dogs over a campfire.

I think I'll look for some too. It might be a good thing to have on hand if I ever run out of wood glue in the middle of a project.
I wonder if it would be a good replacement for welds ?

It's also a pretty good caulk.
Wash your hands well after using.
Good advice #1. You can never put too high a price on safety.

Speaking of haggis, that's what we had for dinner yesterday, in celebration of Burns night.
My family has sort of 'fallen out' out of the tradition of eating haggis. Last time we had haggis we had it on a Scottish farm for breakfast. We were at a farm bed and breakfast, just outside of Dumfries of all places...the city where Burns lived.

It was an interesting meal, there was a large window that we sat by, that looked out to a beautiful green field, with both cattle and sheep. We had a few cattle come right up to the window , chewing their cud while checking out, what we were eating in disinterested fashion.

Meanwhile the sheep kept their distance and stayed in the far end of the field. Might of been something to do with the fact that haggis has sheep components, but nae cattle parts in the recipe, or so I've wondered since that meal.

Collapsed or not, still good though. I would agree that getting Yorkshire pudding just right, is a black art.

We always have 3 or 4 days below minus thirty right around Feb. 12. which is when my canoeing buddies come up from Toronto. We have that to look forward to.

One sleeps out in an uninsulated cabin, with an electric heating pad in his sleeping bag. Keeping the fire going means getting up every 2 hours in that weather.

I heard it with this included:

I see your great uncle Bernie joined in on the festivities, and was fully prepared with his knitted mittens. Does he always look like a sourpuss?

He should have chosen better footwear though, loafers aren't so good in the snow.

Oh, and he needs a toque to keep that shiny noggin warm, eh?
