Resistance is futile.

Not my first presumption, probably not my last...

I went from a K20D to K-5, so I've never actually seen a K-7. But I know how you feel. Someone did a poll on what we upgraded to a K-5 from and left off the K20D. I feel your pain.

I'm really happy with my K-5 but one of the reasons for buying a K-3 is, well I'll just copy paste from the operating manual:

QuoteQuote:
Easy operation of the mode dial
Release the mode dial lock using the mode dial lock release lever to easily operate the mode dial without having to press the mode dial lock button.
With my K-5 the dial lock button is the one thing that really bugs me and it has now been solved!

Well the new sensor, improved auto focus, AA filter solution and so on can of course also pass as reasons for upgrading.

I think your wife must be talking to my wife.

I like "New & Improved" and I like technology. If I were still into Cycling, I'd have electronic shifting by either Campy or Shimano. What I don't/won't do is download Hi-Rez music because I want the physical act of inserting a C

If that test is real, and was correctly set up, that's quite impressive. Considering the amount of data a 24MP sensor throws around normally, plus it is doing RAW+JPEG.

The camera looks to be a real hot rod.

Was there a card in those cameras?
The K-5IIs will slow down, even with no card inside, probably because it couldn't process the images fast enough; this might actually be a test of processing speed, not buffer.

The guy from a JP camera store who shot the YouTube video has a blog, where he reports on a roadshow Pentax is doing in Japan about the K-3. Mentions the AF, buffers etc. Worth a look:

Is there any software to translate the translation?
"Is Man's swell also released candy! What?". . . No, no, it is like candy, but this is a mock.

It's machine poetry. So modern, so art.

Just be grateful they didn't use Google translate to help them prepare the K-3 manual.
