Good to see. Pentax needs to make a big splash at this type of event.

I wish they would have left those in the toy dept.

They should have brought the 645D and some glass.

They've wisely put some excellent glass on it and around it.

To be honest, that all looks a bit sad.

It's the kind of thing you'd expect to see as a display at a small town camera club meeting, not a big New York trade show.

I'm sure there is a fancy display case displaying the new HD coatings, and K5 with water being poured on top of it, and um ... a couple tablets showing off the new FLUCARD technology....yea yea ....

Did they actually have a Pentax employee working the booth? Or a hired marketing agent/contractor? Or did Unique Photo just agree to put up the banner and dedicate the table space?

Well - that's indicative of the mountain Hoya left for Pentax to climb in the USA.

Do coloured bodies change the camera internals & functions or the skill of the person using them?
I expect Ricoh's wish is to market and sell cameras and just like colourful male birds attract mates, colourful cameras can attract new Pentaxians

PhotoPlus is a pretty decent trade show. Pentax should have put more effort into it. They set it up like they were at the flea-market.

Part of me is just glad to see them making an effort, but part of me wishes they had not shown up if this was what they were going to do.

Since I don't "mate" with my camera, I'll pass on the Fisher-Price collection.

Right, guess I'll go ahead and buy one for my 2 year old nephew; he loves colourful things. I'm sure he will have fun handling a colourful piece of kit, cause that's who they are clearly targeted towards.
