Since the K-5 is so worthless above ISO 6400 or whatever, I guess I should delete the ISO 20,000 photo that I have in the PPG.
Think of the drive space you'll save. Tess deleted 21,000 images the other day and it got us back 250 gig.

(I'm 66, by the way).
Isn't it shocking when you use a camera that doesn't have SR, and you realize just how bad your hands do shake. I can't use my DP2 without a tripod.

I'll go up to 400 in extreme situations. Anything above that seems wacky. I'm old tho.
I think it's a typo since I see lots of ISO 1600 in your gallery? Nice work

@Bolt, since you happen to have an EOS-1D X, can you compare the autofocus tracking performance of the K-3 to Canon's "Holy Grail" camera? I'd really like to see how well Pentax fares against the "big guys".

Whose gallery?! I have 4 shots in there and the crappiest one is @ 200 ISO the rest are 80. I don't use TAV.

Ah, seems like I clicked on the "K-5iis group" thinking it's your stream only. My apologies, I need to get more chummy with flickr, I still get personal gallery and group streams confused sometimes.

I use up to 6400 myself. Normally my Auto ISO is set to allow 4500, but I'll increase it when I know it's needed.

That's why they invented shake reduction and autofocus - so I could go on taking photographs. Now I'm waiting for the remote control flying camera, so I can stay at home and send the camera out to take pictures.

I'm 67, btw.

That looks great... with my K-5 I shoot up to 6400, but there is a consistency issue. Not very many of the images are useful. How the consistency on the IIs? Is that a 1 in 5 or a run of the mill?

For me personally, The keeper rate at 12800 is around 3 out of 5.
