Just as I got cold feet and sent an email to cancel my order, I get a reply i my K-5 will arrive tomorrow. So I guess I will know for myself whether the IQ is worse that the K-5 and if the AF is a lot or a little better. To be seen...

To the OP: Great news for you !!

I am truly amazed that you will be among the very first to receive the K3, and I thought this would be available "elsewhere" before Canada.

I have a request: please post some pics ASAP when you receive it .... I would be particularly interested to see how the AF behaves, especially with longer glass (if you have it) such as the DA*300/4 or similar.

I didn't order from Henry's website, I called the store and ordered from there. I wonder what effect that will have on delivery?

I wanted to support the local store. We had no real camera shop before they opened about five years ago. They always have Pentax on the shelves. I've bought quite a bit of gear there.

Will I be able to process K-3 DNG's with LR4?

Yes. I just did two of the K-3 DNG's off Imaging Resource with LR 4.4. They came out well.
