If you do the RAW development in camera, just like the K-5, the K-3 lets you output TIFF too, for better output quality... File size may be ginormous though.
EDIT: Hmm, I may be wrong.
p-71 of the K-3 manual says
only JPG's may be saved from in-camera RAW development.
However p-94 of the K-3 manual says
TIFF is one of the file formats available for saving processed RAWs.
It would be a pity to lose that functionality in the K-3. Although I never used it on the K-5, it seems handy to have.
Either way, surely the K-3 comes with a software CD that would allow K-3 DNG's to be processed into JPGs?
