There's no reason to change the title, but you can do so within 24 hours of posting by clicking on "Edit Message" and changing the title there. After 24hours, any changes won't modify the thread title, however.

if you do get the k5 II, I recommend you to not try the K-3, the new processor makes the camera operation so snappy it feels like upgrading from Pentium 3 to a quad core

Yes, I think that is what he meant... once you try the K-3, you wish you hadn't bought the K-5 II/s. OTOH, for the price of K-3, you can 'probably' get 2 K-5 II/s...

Let's put this scenerio into perspective:
there are 3 or Primes i am looking at, all are F2.8! 1. is the new 35mm HD Macro, 2. is 50mm Macro 3 is 100mm Macro
those are the I am most interested in becaus I like Macro, BUT they can be used for Portrait and other things! How would these as fast or slow AF?

Perhaps we could use some lenses like the 15 and 21 and 35 to judge focus-ability over the 3 aps-c bodies.
I also want to know if that new 86k metering system is worth getting the k3 for, or if 2k ( from the K5) does that same job?
Why would you use "small" lenses like the 15, 43, 50 etc to test autofocus? the throw is minimal and the wide angle insane depth of field.

Autofocus parameters of concern are "real world action uses" which are focal lengths of 150 and greater.

Will my 200mm, 300mm or even 500mm lens track birds, athletes and other animals at f4, 1/400 and iso 800-1600 better than the k5iis? if not, I have no use for the K3.

Fast autofocus needs are really the realm of the larger, heavier, longer, shallower DOF world, where the difference between center point AF locking on a log 5 feet in front of your subject at 50 yards is the difference between a keeper and another source of aggravation.

Maybe the smaller AF points will help. But will the 27 AF only be selectable if you have a Pentax lens? If i'm still limited to a large seemingly random minded center focus point because I love my Sigma , again I'll have no use for the K3.

I have the DA15, FA20-35, FA50 Macro and a great Sigma 20-40, but I could care less how fast the autofocus is because the areas those lenses excel in don't require fast autofocus or even autofocus at all.

Since we are all giving Adam advice:

Adam, grab the 560mm you have laying around, and your Bigma, go down to Gilbert Water/Bird preserve and spend a day shooting BIF and general creature pics. Let me know if the K3 let's you track and shoot a duck on launch or a heron cruising for food.

Or go to the botanical Gardens and shoot hummingbirds in the late afternoon. Or Boyce Thompson and anything there that moves.
NASCAR comes to town in a week or too, let's go to PIR. Or one of the 2 dozen soccer fields off cave creek and deer valley road.
Let's really put the K3 to a real test versus a K5iis and see if the 1300 is worth it!

Hell, invite me along, I'll bring my K5iis and my Sigma and we can swap cameras and lenses back and forth.
I live in Phx and could show up any weekend you want
In fact, I'm willing to bet there's 5 or 6 of us photogs in the Phx area who'd be happy to show up and put the K3 through it's paces
