Ok, folks, it's time for SuperMoon. Pentax K-3 with HD PENTAX-DA 55-300mm F4-5.8 ED WR. Manual focus, manual exposure and everything else. On tripod, with remote and mirror lock up.

A couple of Fairy-wren shots from this morning. A pair of Red-backed Fairy-wrens and a male Superb Fairy-wren. Ipswich, Queensland, Australia. Coming into Spring, it is nesting season here.

Amazing how those K-3 images hold up to heavy cropping. At time I think I've cropped too much, but my files are still bigger than a K-x image.

Indeed. Some of my wren shots (like those two above) were cropped down to just 2-3 MP. Need a good lens like the DA*300 to do it that extreme though.

5-exposure HDR, merged in Photomatix Pro, with additional processing in Lightroom and Photoshop.
