Wonderful shots Rondec !
If there is some reason to buy the DA 15 Limited one day, it will be by looking at your pics mate !

Frontal Hummer

I had forgotten about these shots with the DA*50-135. I got about a dozen nice ones from this bird.

A Grey Butcherbird, Ipswich, Queensland, Australia.

Noticed on another forum that the members were raving about the high ISO performance of a new Canon model. I guess they don't know what they don't know.

K-3, Sigma 500 f4.5 APO DG EX, Pentax HD 1.4x RC, tripod, Metz 58AF-2 flash, Better Beamer FX-3

Av mode, ISO 1600, f9 (corrected for RC), 1/250th, flash in PTTLHSS mode at 0EV

Crop, background noise reduction (no noise reduction on the bird), clipping adjust, resize and sharpen

I was asked by the ACLU of Washington to photograph their annual Bill of Rights Dinner. It was great fun and the attorneys were super funny. It was quite an honor to be asked.

All photos were with the DA* 50-135mm F2.8

LOL...I know they do. That was the one time where they were talking about serious stuff. They had a dry sense of humor that was quite funny.

0.5'', F2.8, ISO 1600

this is IMHO one of the best improvements (K-7 vs K-3) that even with higher ISO you can create a shot with reasonable grain

I was out trying to fine tune my blind today, I'm ready to throw out the set up and start over. But I did get a few shots...

K-3 and DA*60-250. I've realized when looking at my bird images they don't have enough environment. Getting in on small birds and blowing them up to 20x life size may be cool, but I'm not sure it makes a really good picture.
