Beautiful photo and dogs. Love when they run carrying the same toy or stick.

I´m still on my quest to get used to lowlight events. At the Diwali Festival we had a wonderful Kathak dancer. I think i get a bit better at events in little steps. I´m quite happy with these pictures.
I really like the last one. You can see the expression on her face.

Great !

Same thing here, with the K-3, I was able to nail this GBH in flight (more that 60 shots taken , and this is the best one)

Cross posted from too many places to mention..

K-3- Tamron 90 macro ƒ2.8 - ISO 1000, @ƒ2.8

It occurs to me I never post a picture of my new ease, or it's location. Well they are of the deck, out across the parking lot/yard...

The light was terrible today...so I decide to try with the Tamron 90 ƒ2.8 instead of a longer, slower lens. I also stood out in the middle of the feeders instead of sitting in the bling with a long lens. My birds are so use to me, thing s went reasonably well.

The new feeder

The location...

Hi Normhead, I am curious to what method do you use for processing your images? Do you shoot RAW or JPG? I ask because they feel compressed somehow.

Macro Shot

I took this macro shot recently with my K-3 and a Tamron 90 mm lens. I submitted it to USA Today and it was featured on the weather page of today's newspaper (back page of section 1). It's also posted on their website on the weather page.

Nice shots!
One can fully appreciate the bird photos first after trying the birding on his own. Extremely difficult to take a good shot when the object won't sit and stay in same position for more than a second.
(well, the squirrels are also not sitting and posing for long...)

That's where a blind like he has becomes very useful to get closer and have sharper photos !
