Northern NSW Australia. This is a non-venomous Diamond or Carpet Python. Only 2.5m or so long. A small one

They are always in the neighbourhood. The local birds make a huge but distinctive 'snake alert' racket whenever they detect one nearby, which gives me plenty of time to get the camera out.
