Nice shots John, you'd better be real focus in this hard job !

---------- Post added 05-12-14 at 10:02 ----------

Was on tour with Steve Coleman and Five Elements the last 2 weeks, I've been taking concert as well as everyday life pictures.

I was using 2 bodies, K-3 as main camera and also dedicated to shoot video all trough the concerts, and my first love the K-5.
Most of the times the K-3 was paired with the DA* 50-135mm and the K-5 with the Sigma 70-200mm or Sigma 17-70mm.

I was video taping each concerts with a mixed up set of cameras, from Gopro's to Sony FullHD cheap cameras and I was also busy doing the managing job so I had very few time to really focus on the shooting still pictures. I was sometimes totally overwehlmed by the task lol !

But there is a few shots that I like, from the first serie I developped in Lr5 + Nik Silver Efex Pro2

DimC - Thank you for the comments and yes, I did have to concentrate on the task at hand. LOL

Nice work on your photos. I like the film-like look of your BWs. That would be fun traveling with a band. Great experience.

your BW pics are gorgeous. Can you share how you processed them? Any presets used in Lightroom...?
Thank you kindly! All my B&Ws are processed in Silver Efex Pro 2 (love this plug-in) and tweaked in LR5 at the end. I generally do not use presets and prefer to play with the sliders and filters provided till I am fairly happy. It can be a bit of long process (30-45 min) but it's the only way I know how to get the results I'm looking for.

Buck in Morning Gloom

A visitor to our feeder was kind enough to pose. Had the 18-135 on the camera and shot through the patio door.

Oh You Turkey Neck!

These wild turkeys were interested in my neon Howling Coyote, reflected in the window glass at upper left.

Sunset with the FA31

The K-3 and FA31 play well together. This was shot last summer. Lake is ice now.

Three more photos. Two with the DA *16-50

And one with the 50-135.

Wow, really stunning light and colours in those first two. Beautiful shots.
