I haven't had time to really try out my new K3 yet, but here's a quick selfie taken to test at ISO 12,800. I've cleaned it up a bit but I need to learn PP all over again with this camera's files. The K200D software won't open the DNG files and Paintshop Pro X4 exports the jpegs with a distinct red tint, despite not showing that tint in the software itself. I need to get some other software or learn to fix/compensate for it.
High ISO capability was not one of my main reasons for getting the K3, but as that's all I've been able to use it for up til now, I'm pretty impressed so far. ISO 3200 is very useable and even these 12,800 shots are pretty good for my normal purposes. From my attempts with even higher ISOs, I think they'll be useable for converting to B&W and bumping up the contrast a bit to make them look like old-school grainy film.
These were taken with the DA 35mm limited.
