Thanks... Both shots were done late in the afternoon... Things look different at this time of the day - I simply love the late afternoon kind of light.

That reminds me of seeing that when I was travelling about with a little Sony. One of the reasons I decided to get a DSLR. I wanted a proper camera I could control, like an old film SLR, and capable of good technical quality. My second generation DSLR is K3 because I got frustrated by the limitations of the K100DS.

That was a good decision indeed .

Here's one more sunset shot (DA 12-24):

What about the articulating arm holding the flash, where is that from?
I think I paid $9 from a Chinese seller on eBay.

Pentax K 200 2.5 Indoor event. This lens has met my expectations as a viable indoor event lens. Very Sharp at F 4, a bit soft wide open at 2.5.

Very dramatic shot! Not sure how much of the shot's final impact comes from PP (or maybe, straight out of camera with some negative exposure compensation?), but certainly I'd say you were in the right place at the right time.

I know these shots don't belong in this thread but I just wanted to show how amazingly the K200D performed at the same show at ISO 1600.

Wow, Chris. Excellent compo. Did you by chance try a few different angles? I wonder how one taken from a lower angle and closer to the dog would look?
Thanks guys! I did try a couple different angles but didn't like the results.
