A pseudo-panorama (single image with extensive top & bottom cropping) from the deserts of southern California. A train moving away makes a 90 degree right turn @ the extreme left of the image, crosses the frame, then will make a 90 degree left turn at the extreme right of the image to head on west past the industrial installation (not grain elevators). The second image is a deeper crop that better shows the train and industrial site.

I haven't posted any images here in a long while...simply because I'm extremely lazy when it comes to PP. I shoot in raw with the best intentions, and then nothing happens for ages. I still have unprocessed images from up to 5 years ago
I'll get to them eventually! Anyone else here like that...or is it just me?

That chimp at the top does vaguely remind me of the chump facing the computer screen. Mostly I do OK doing the PP, but my local camera club has a standing request for me to do an image show (not properly called a "slide show" any more) that goes back about 5 years. Keep putting images with PP into "collections," but never seem to get together a "show."

Two K3 shots from Iceland. First with a Sigma 8-16, second with a Pentax 16-85

Before.

After.

A case of extreme shadow recovery in DxO 10. I exposed this scene for the skies, because if I exposed for the lower part of the scene I would have ended with a completely blow out skies. I knew that I would be able to recover most of the shadows, so I made a shot with post processing in mind. The sun was quite high, approximately above the villa on the left slope making it a backlit scene. Sigma 18-35 fared quite well in this situation and K-3 raw files proved to contain lots of information, that could be recovered in post processing.
