the troll face was there for a reason , that nifty fifty is a really nice lens (and unbeatable for its price, which also is a nice bonus).

Beautiful shot, Vincent. The blowing dust really gives this a neat feel and I love the sun rays at the top of the frame.

I know this is a cliched shot but I'd never been on Mount Washington at night, so I was excited to see the view in person. It's breathtaking. Hope the photo at least partially does it justice. Taken with the DA 18-135 lens.

No, but I already checked that off my list on a previous visit! I uber'd up there. I saw that there was a crowd at the Duquesne Incline observation deck, so I walked down the street a little ways and found the Point of View statue a slightly quieter location - with no fence.

I did suspect he would not do that driving down the highway, BUT, I did see a photo snapped through the side window of a car on an interstate of a guy on a Harley, leaning pack holding a cell phone with both hands while he steered with his feet. Well, how else could he text??

Hello I got my k3 a few days ago. This is my first DSLR camera so I have so much to learn.
I decide to go with Pentax after trying other brands and they as impressive equipment they where to big and unconfortable in my hand. So far I love this camera love the handling. Here is my first try not knowing what I'm doing but hopefully in time I will be able to reach what I see here in this forum beautiful images.

Just playing around with the K-3 and DA* 16-50, 16mm, 1/60 @ f/5.6, ISO 12,800, a little PP in LR CC.

I have never tried ISO 12,800 but this seems to show it would be quite usable in a pinch, at least for web sized viewing. Neat!

I've had to use ISO 12,800 several times for concerts. Some venues are crazy dark.

ISO 12,800 pushed 1/2 a stop.

Thank you Linda. I try not to go above ISO 4000 because I do lose some detail but I will if needed.
