Our local Chromefest was on this weekend so I took the K-3 and my Nifty 50 (SMC Pentax-DA 50mm f1.8) out and got this beauty. My pick for "Best in Show". Beautifully presented.

K3 and almost certainly a Sigma 8-16, and must be hand held (tripods almost never allowed in these venues)

a couple from tonight - haven't picked up the K-3 much in the past year except for random snaps, mostly of gear or for web postings. it was kinda nice.

Traditional Icelandic construction. Partially excavated floor level with walls of uncut stones built to about shoulder height, making them about four feet higher than ground level outside the building, then a peaked wooden roof covered by sod. A few small windows so the interiors are very dark and somewhat damp feeling.

Someone's not been slow in picking up this new lens...

Are you going FF when it comes out?

I think so. My wife has been shooting a lot of weddings professionally and she really wants full frame. I just shoot as a hobby and don't really need it, but I get to use her gear.

Probably shoot with a K1 with a K3 as a back up (and keep the K-01 for situations where she leaves me without a camera).

Here's one I got yesterday morning at Lake Anna (Virginia). Taken at dawn, about 30 minutes before sunrise. A couple minutes after I took this, boats started coming through and the water got choppy. Quite frustrating. The nerve of them!
