It's like going into a restaurant, having a great meal and telling the chef he must have a really good oven!

A little mushroom hunting today.
Good finds. Well captured and processed. Great work.

Thank you rayallen. They were everywhere in this parking lot. I tried to capture them as if they were in the wild.

John, I love the different colors and shapes of the mushrooms! Didn't realize there were so many varieties!

I know it was very Alice In Wonderland. These were actually in front of my wife's office.

Apparently they are Amanita muscaria or Santa Clause mushrooms.

Nice photos.
Do you use a softbox on your flash for outdoor portraits?

Thanks.

I use a Gary Fong Lightsphere which seems to work well considering I generally don't have time to setup light stands and I don't have anyone assisting me. Thought about trying the Rogue Flashbender XL as a sort of portable softbox solution.

We had a really nice and colorful sunrise this morning. Unfortunately, I was on my way to work and did not have a tripod. I did have my camera, though, so I got these shots - taken at the end of my driveway.

Could not find a label that identified this lazy fish. Hardly moved at all - just floated with its tail generally just touching the bottom.
