Taken last weekend with K3, DA*55 and one flash with silver umbrella. first time using K3 with flash outdoors, but things are looking very good K3 wise.

K-3 High ISO Noise Reduction Test

I had my K-3 out last night to try some low light shooting at a party I went to. I was very impressed. Sure there is noise in the original, it's ISO 1600, but it was very easily cleaned up.

Existing light, no flash.
ISO1600
F2.8
SMC Pentax-DA 14mm F2.8
1/20 sec


Below is the full sized processed photograph (although I really didn't have to do very much, because out of camera the shot was great!), and 100% enlargements with no NR and with NR.

Long exposures

A few long exposures from my home town of Dunfermline, Scotland. This is Dunfermline Abbey, an extremely significant historical site and burial place of King Robert the Bruce.
