You are a shining example that birding is not just possible on a Pentax system, but the results can be top notch!

Once again Kengoh shows what good technique and proper equipment can produce. Should we be inspired, humbled or intimidated? A bit of all three.

Ken, your bird shots are absolutely astonishing! You really make that K3 and that lens sing!

Amen. More than a bit, on my part.
Thanks you all for the kind comments.

I wish! That would be a problem I wouldn't complain too much about.

Water-drops on spider webs on plants, K3 and DA 35mm limited. I really must start using at tripod (or at least a monopod) for these shots. Focusing is tough.

A male Golden Whistler. Karalee, Ipswich, Queensland, Australia. I think this bird might be a juvenile just getting its adult moult as it seems to be still missing a few feathers around the head. Pentax K-3 with Sigma 500 f4.5 APO DG EX, Metz 58AF-2 flash and Better Beamer FX-3. Manual mode, ISO 640, 1/400th, f8, flash in PTTLHSS mode at -1/3EV.

A zebra running to escape the end of the alphabet, as predicted in ancient Aztec glyphs.
