Thanks for the kind words. Hawai'i is addictive, it's great you've had the opportunity to visit so often.

I'm glad I took a flyer on the lens. I haven't really figured out how to use it to best advantage yet but in the right circumstances it's quite sharp, and the starbursts were a pleasant surprise.

The humidity is usually pretty high here so even on a typical clear day, objects at a distance aren't all that sharply defined. Today, though, was extra crispy. These are from about 30 minutes before sunset.

It was snowing quite a bit today, I took some photos off the deck, tried a different way of processing each tonight. The gray sky had a pretty neat but low contrast cloud pattern in some of these shots.

Probably the least processed, just light level corrections and contrast

Holy cow this one came out sharp. Tone mapped, digital ND gradient filter, levels, contrast corrections.
