K-3 and Vivitar M 135mm ƒ 2.8
400 ISO, ƒ2.8, 1/2000s

I don't know why but this guy was running off all takers today. There was jumping an leaping and squaring off like a boxing match, he was the one left standing.

I was lying in the snow on my belly, half behind a tree... I think he was sizing me up considering taking a run at me.

He's got that "what you looking at?" expression.

Ask me how hard it is to get in focus exposures tracking a squirrel with a manual focus lens. If I was shooting film, these images would have cost me 2 rolls of 36 exposure film, for maybe 10 exposures in focus.

Thank you bobbotron. I'm partial to to the BW I think.

Jorgario - Well done. It should last you a long time.

Loads of fine images here since I last posted !

BTW, I did order the K3 today .... should be here late next week.
I resisted as long as I could, given that my K5 has been fine in spite with nearly 90,000 clicks.
Now I have to start reading a bit on how to set up this thing when it comes in, especially for use with the DA*300/4 w/w-out the HD 1.4X TC for birding.
Looks like a ton of "work" from here on.

Cheers!
