That one sure looks complex.

It's a testament to your skill and gear to get those nice shots with this grrrrey weather we had today!
Believe it or not, we had a little bit of decent light, I lost a lot to motion blur with slow exposures, but overall, not to bad.

Grey weather in Ottawa this weekend! I went to the hogsback falls while doing errands with the plans of taking a nice photo. The shots were all so flat, I can't remember the last time I had shots so thwarted by flat light. Closest I got was this shot, which I had to heavily post process afterwards to get any kind of details out of.

You're lucky, it was pretty crappy weather here in Ottawa!

Tried to take some flake macros yesterday, but it was too warm and the snow was melting... I had about 20-30 seconds max between the moment a flake landed on my fabric and the time it was completely melted. And after about fifteen seconds, it had already melted enough to not be very photogenic. Very difficult conditions! Shot with a reversed Pentax-M 28-50mm F/3.5-4.5 (at 28mm), on 32mm of extension. Here are two shots of the same flake, nine seconds apart.

At the cabin earlier today, finally got an up to date shot of the outside of it. DA 15mm, easier to get the big pines totally in the shot without the fisheye distortion of my 8mm rokinon.

Another fine series of the birds, Norm.
Seems like the Blue Jays Band has returned!

Another locomotive photographed with a K3 at a German industrial/technical museum. This one is older and without the red-painted wheels and connecting rods, not as photogenic.

That cow multiplied, there is a whole field of them in Shepparton.

That doesn't surprise me one bit. I have heard that they are good breeders.

BTW, that is where my dad was born.
