A couple from my recent trip to Dubai, which on the waterfront has some fascinating juxtapositions of traditional and modern. The ancient wooden boats shown still ply the routes between the Middle East and Asia piled high with modern-day trade items such as electrical goods, alongside sacks of rice and traditional foodstuffs and anything else that needs shipping. I particularly like how the boat's freezer is (sort of) attached to the back of the boat in the first shot.

I figured all 50's are great copies. They vary? I purchased my lens off of eBay and it looked like it came right out of the box brand new.

So I was out tonight trying to perfect LeRolls bikini on the beach at sunset technique but when I look at his vs mine somethings just not quite right.

Oh wait I see it now. The horizon is crooked being slightly lower on the right. Well back to try again....

K3 with Auto Revuenon 50mm f/1.4, I think at f/2.4, post-processed in VSCO on my phone.

I've been really enjoying this lens since it arrived last week. I'd say it's very similar in sharpness to the M 50mm f/1.4 at all apertures and the colours are perfect. I haven't really tested it for flare resistance etc. Mostly it's been used on film so I won't see any results from that for a while given my film workflow.

Thank you for taking the time to comment! Fortunately I got out there early enough that morning with the right gear to catch Mother Nature in one of her tempestuous moods...sometimes this is when she can be at her most beautiful.

Mine looks to be in great shape, but with colour film/digital, the contrast isn't that great.
