Hehe. Had to look it up... Tuque saves the world!

Hey when did you get a dfa 100mm? Great shot btw!
Thanks! Got the D-FA (the older non-WR version with an aperture ring) recently from forum member TroutHunterJohn. Planning to run some tests against my Vivitar S1 105mm and the stalwart Tamron 90mm, but unless the Pentax comes up way short, it is likely to become my new main macro lens. I believe the Tamron has some focus breathing at MFD which reduces its effective focal length and makes it a bit less useful than other macros of similar focal length with a Raynox DCR-250 (you get 1.7:1 instead of 2:1). And although I love the Vivitar S1 and will probably still use it for backyard macro - what a gorgeous lens and gets fantastic results! - it's just such a massive beast. I often take "macro nature walks" with my wife, and I want to reduce the weight I'm carrying during those. I may also move back to on-camera flash with a custom diffuser, which will get rid of the wireless transmitter, the horizontal flash adapter and will allow me to use a smaller (manual) flash. The shot above was done with an on-camera Pentax AF200T with custom diffuser, but I'm thinking I might want just a bit more power, so I have a Nikon SB-20 that is waiting for me to make it a custom diffuser...

So I was out tonight trying to perfect LeRolls bikini on the beach at sunset technique but when I look at his vs mine somethings just not quite right.

Oh wait I see it now. The horizon is crooked being slightly lower on the right. Well back to try again....
In my opinion you nailed it!

Had the week off so I've been a busy bee. So many pics to edit.

This is a composite exposure I made of a friend's CNC laser cutter. One long exposure would have been too bright from the ambient light in the room, this worked great!

Congratulations on your pictures !!

Hey I hope your're getting some paid gigs now since that's a nice portfolio overall that highlights your proficiency with both pre+post processing under a diverse set of conditions. Though if I were to select one as a fav it would be the second since to me the model seems the most natural in front of the camera. Nice to see you working with that 43mm ought to consider adding a *55mm to your kit at some point. I think you might like that focal length and the rendering is right up there with those limiteds.

He can rub it in as much as he likes, just as long as he keeps posting the results!
