Nice shots guys !

I've been testing HDR technique with the K-3.
In the following pic I was using Handheld, 5 shots with in camera Multi exposure drive mode.
With Sigma 17-70mm /f2,8-4
I processed the HDR with Photomatix, I was looking for the "painting" to get along the Autumn colors that I really like.

The second image is a tribute to Kengoh or Vincent who have posted some incredible images in this thread, I really like their pictures feeling.
I really love some other's work, especially with thoses birds...but I dont have any lens really capable for that type yet.

It's with the Sigma 17-70mm /f2,8-4, my "Cheap" DA 15 /f4
I was waiting for the perfect lighting to shoot, this one is from quiet early in the session, when city lights were alive.
I've got a bunch of nice pictures from this session, Ill post more later if you want.

I hope someday Ill have a Pentax DA 15/ f4 to test, I think it's my most wanted lens at the moment.
very nice!!!

Nice work Dimitri ! They are both very "painting" like. I particularly like the Autumn colors.

Yesterday was a grey day, with buckets of cold rain. Just above freezing, so the roads were OK, but not really a fun day to be out shooting. My K3 and 16-50 wanted to go out, so I took them out, but I didn't last very long...

Just thought I'd drop in a couple of others from "prettier light" days.

It is so hard to get feather detail on those Wax Wings, they must have the finest feathers on the planet, you're way ahead of me on that species.

Excellent photos, I just hate the part where they remind me that there is a morning sunrise, every morning, that I'm never up for.

I like the details and the snow flakes on this shot.

I also spotted a Northern Shrike today, but it seems to be very timid and wasn't able to shoot it. Taking a shot of the shrike will be my goal for the vacations.

Just a few from earlier his afternoon. Most of them have had the exifs wiped by LR for various PP reasons. Basically all ISO100 and f6.7. or f8

Single shot with Sigma 35mm 1.4

Samyang 14mm 2.8. 5 bracketed shots stacked in LREnfuse

Sigma 50mm 1.4 EX HSM. 5 bracket shots processed in LREnfuse again

Siggy 50mm same process

Sigma 35mm same process as for the 50mm pics

Enjoying getting used to new k3, out in the snow today, though, the results of autoexposure were not very consistent. Albeit, I do need to familiarize a bit with the results, I thought it would be a more intuitive transition coming from a k-30.
Here' s the best from today....

Here's a few of a squirrel digging in the snow for seeds, K-3 and DA* 60-250.

You can smell better things with your nose in the snow.

I think I hear something.

What's that clicking noise.

It's just some harmless guy in a blind, if it was a Pine Martin I'd be worried. As it is, I'm going to eat this seed, right here, right now.
