Come to northern NSW. This is standard stuff around here
The show was also hosted by a former Les Girl's drag queen who is now 70 yo and is a popular regular at the golf club.

Nice shots guys !

I've been testing HDR technique with the K-3.
In the following pic I was using Handheld, 5 shots with in camera Multi exposure drive mode.
With Sigma 17-70mm /f2,8-4
I processed the HDR with Photomatix, I was looking for the "painting" to get along the Autumn colors that I really like.

The second image is a tribute to Kengoh or Vincent who have posted some incredible images in this thread, I really like their pictures feeling.
I really love some other's work, especially with thoses birds...but I dont have any lens really capable for that type yet.

It's with the Sigma 17-70mm /f2,8-4, my "Cheap" DA 15 /f4
I was waiting for the perfect lighting to shoot, this one is from quiet early in the session, when city lights were alive.
I've got a bunch of nice pictures from this session, Ill post more later if you want.

I hope someday Ill have a Pentax DA 15/ f4 to test, I think it's my most wanted lens at the moment.
...beautiful photos!
After viewing this thread I'm so excited to be receiving my K-3 tomorrow....my last SLR was a Nikon F2 Photomic that I bought back in the 70's!...the K-3 will be my first DSLR.
I'll be on the forum here asking lots of questions

Welcome aboard Peter,

I dont know your expectations but I dont think you will be disapointed with the K-3, it's a great camera with lots a features and a top notch ergonomy.
But with all camera, the lens will make the difference so I advise you to choose yours carefully regarding your type of shooting.

Thanks for your comment btw

What a great set.
The landscape scene peppered with temple domes is particularly nice.
I'm starting to see more and more images of Myanmar about the place. I guess the days of Myanmar as a hard to visit backwater are truly over.

There's no bokeh like snow bokeh.. cross posted from Post Your Photos and Post you Bokeh club.
K-3, A400, F-8, ISO 100, Shutter set to AV.

The sun is trying to peek through the clouds, so there's way more light than on a normal snow day.

We'll be down there in a few days fotogaffer, we may try and take in the fireworks or bird land or something. Wear a big white hat with "I am fotogaffer" in magic marker for us if you go out between the 22nd and 28th. It won't be too embarrassing… you'll hardly know it's even there.

Ha Norm - easier than that - just look for the guy with the only other Pentax camera you may see when you are out!

I don't know gaffer, I think I like the big white hat idea better, OK then compromise, you can write "Pentax" in big letters on the hat, instead of fotogaffer. Or even Ricoh.
