Cactus flower

This was taken in the early morning - the flower was backlit by the rising sun. The SMC-D FA 100mm macro WR once again proved its worth when teamed up with the K-3.

Great shot for a kit lens. If I didn't know any better I'd say it was taken by the new D FA 24-70.
Many thanks. I wish I had the DFA 24-70mm to take shots with. The kit lens does just fine when stopped down, I think this was taken around f/11. I only used it because friends were waiting for me and I didn't want to be swapping lenses and the 18-55 was the only zoom I had.

Norm, you must have been close enough to hand feed the squirrel! Great shots.

Sympathy sent. I know all too well how poor the light can be in the various "houses" at a zoo. You did well.
