The focus separation of the subject and the background is so pronounced, I'd almost believe she was photoshopped in there! I like this one quite a bit.
Thanks! Yeah, I don't have photoshop and I don't know how to do composites anyway.

The dogs at play. Making use of the K-3 tracking.

K-3 DA*200
TaV, ƒ5.6, 1/3200s

Jesse stays glued to Trippers hip. She tries to herd him, Tripper has made getting away from her part of the game.

Looking to see where the ball will be thrown. Tripper and his shadow.

Heading for the ball, and leaving Jesse in the dust.

Jesse catches up.

Lightroom 5 and Nik Effects plug-ins. I might go for the Adobe CC once I get the K-1 though so someday I may get around to learning some Photoshop tricks.

Was just messing around and thought this shot was kind of fun.

If you are getting those results with LR 5 and NIK then you don't NEED Photoshop. But the Adobe CC deal is a good one and worth having to automatically keep up with the latest. There are some things that Photoshop can do that Lightroom can't but if you have managed this far with LR then just keep on keeping on.

Yeah, that's basically how I feel. I generally like my workflow. I wish I felt more confident about the future of Nik but that's been up in the air since Google bought them. Of course some of the models have been bugging me to use to liquify tool on a few of their shots so one of these days I'll probably have to give in.
