Lightroom 5 and Nik Effects plug-ins. I might go for the Adobe CC once I get the K-1 though so someday I may get around to learning some Photoshop tricks.

Was just messing around and thought this shot was kind of fun.

(Half joking!)
Don't... get photoshop, your photos are so good as is. People mess around with their photos so much "perfecting" them, over polish them.

Trust me if I do end up getting the Adobe CC it'll mostly be for the updates to LR and not for PS. I plan on only using PS when I absolutely have to. Thanks BTW.

I'm still in the process of fine tuning my editing style so it's good to know that people are liking what they see. Oh and I agree about the whole over polishing thing. Sometimes the little imperfections are what give the image character. It's one of the reasons why I like using film era lenses. Too much of the magic/pixie dust has been over engineered away in the new glass.

I like this lens I guess... There is that beautiful softness but still sharp which is a must for a portraits. Good buy for sure. I guess that you have to do a bit of comparison now to see the difference between 77 and 85mm, same model same light conditions and pose as well as same workflow and same parameters... If you can! That will be very interesting.

I've only used it for one shoot and it was a fairly short shoot. I don't want to jump to conclusions so quickly but my initial reaction is that it is better than the FA77. The pictures seem to require less post processing to get the kind of look I like and the AF just feels a little snappier. Overall less temperamental (I don't have to coax it as much to get the results). It is noticeably bigger/heavier though which is a definite factor but every time I looked at the back of the camera I found myself smiling more often. I will need to spend more time with this lens to really get the measure of it.

Very nice results! This photo really demonstrates the subtle yet distinct difference between this and the 77 in terms of rendering style. My K-3 days are numbered and since I recently picked up a K-1 I am greatly considering adding this lens along with the Fa* 24. Both look great on FF from what I've seen.

Yes, agreed. I plan on getting the K-1 in a couple months time. Hopefully by then they will have worked out a few more of the kinks and the camera will be more readily available. My post-processing workflow is quite different with the 85 over the 77 but I am definitely loving the results. The bokeh is also noticeably different but in a subtle sort of a way that I quite like.

That is an excellent portrait and really shows what these legacy lenses can do.

A couple of test shots with the DA*60-250 at ISO3200 and ISO4000. My models are nowhere near as nice.
