Waikiki

These are with the Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8. I was pleasantly surprised by the starbursts on the stronger lights in the first one. I include the shot with the buskers mostly to highlight the camera shake reduction, because I shot it at 1/13th and my hands aren't the steadiest although I'm getting better.

Here are a few landscapes taken with the K3 & Sigma 17-50mm f/2.8 recently in Tuscany.

This poll seriously needs some APS-c shooters. If you are interested, give us some APS-c votes.

That's about as good as any snowflake image I've ever seen, and I've seen many including some made with a special 4X5 view camera set-up.

I had a look, selected APS-C, but all the prospective lens choices are clearly ones designed and priced for full frame. There isn't a single lens amongst the 41 options that I would want. When I tried to submit my results without any lenses selected, it informed me I needed to select at least one, but in fact wouldn't accept the submission until I'd selected three lenses which I don't want.

It's a pretty poorly set up survey.

I lied, this was actually taken with a K-01! I never use the camera, but brought it with me to NYC. Posted here by accident!

I guess that just means Pentax has done pretty good job covering APS-c. Not to mention that there's a lot of older 3rd party glass out there.

Thank you!! It was shot with the D-FA 100mm WR, the HD 1.4X tele-converter and a Raynox MSN-202 diopter. Plus flash, of course. It's a pretty deep focus stack too. I'd probably not pick it as my best ever flake image though - that honor would likely go to either this one or that one from last year. I think what I most need to work on now is my flake selection process - I'm shooting too much and it makes the post-processing exhausting. I might try to use my wife's Pentax Papilio binoculars to get a better idea of what I'm shooting before I actually shoot it...

These are all with the SMC Pentax-M 50mm f/1.4 manual focus. It's by far the fastest lens in the kit but I haven't used it much for street shots at night and want to get accustomed to it. I took a lot of out-of-focus shots this night.
